From Bali to Boardrooms: A Reflection on My Conversation with Ari Krzyzek
Ep.76: How Trusting Your Instincts Can Build an Empire
Every so often, I sit down for an interview and walk away with more than insight — I walk away feeling changed. That was the case with Ari Krzyzek.
Ari’s story, from growing up in Bali to co-founding a thriving creative agency in the U.S., is a lesson in resourcefulness, rebellion, and reinvention. Her journey is filled with bold pivots — declining a full scholarship to a tourism university to pursue art school (despite having no formal art training), moving halfway across the world to follow love and purpose, and bootstrapping her business with just $250 and a dream.
There were so many moments where I felt our stories run parallel — being the eldest daughter with expectations stacked high, learning how to build something from scratch, struggling to talk about money at home while navigating entrepreneurship in real time. What really stayed with me was Ari’s relentless belief that she would figure it out. Whether it was finances, freelancing, or finding her footing in a new country — she moved forward, even when the path wasn’t clear.
I also loved our shared love of gold accessories and luxury bags. (Because yes, we get to build legacy and look good doing it.)
This episode is a reminder that wealth isn’t just about numbers. It’s about vision. Values. And having the audacity to create your own blueprint — even when no one around you has done it before.
Ari, thank you for reminding us that you don’t have to be born into wealth to build it. You just need the courage to begin.
